3M™ Thinsulate™ Acoustic Insulation SM600L is a lightweight, non-woven material engineered to enhance vehicle cabin comfort by effectively absorbing noise. Its unique blend of fine microfibers targets high-frequency sounds, while thicker fibers provide structure and loft, resulting in superior acoustic performance.
By integrating 3M™ Thinsulate™ Acoustic Insulation SM600L, manufacturers can enhance passenger comfort through effective noise reduction while supporting vehicle weight optimization objectives.
3M Thinsulate comes compressed from the factory, and Kei Project also ships it compressed for easier handling and installation. SM600L is typically about 1/2" to 3/4" thick when it comes off the roll. It will naturally expand over time, though full re-lofting can take several weeks. For best results, we recommend installing it while compressed and allowing it to expand after installation.
