Orders and shipping

Where do you ship?

We ship to the lower 48 states.

How quickly will my order ship?

Orders are processed within 1 business day, Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 4:00 PM Eastern are processed the next business day. Estimated delivery is 3 to 4 business days, depending on your location and the carrier.

Is shipping free?

Most orders ship free within the United States. A few oversized items ship by freight, and the 5 ft x 300 ft 3M Thinsulate master roll requires a freight quote before you order.

How do I track my order?

You will get an email with tracking details once your order is processed. You can also use our Track Your Order page.

My package is late or arrived damaged. What should I do?

Contact us and we will work with you and the carrier to sort it out.

Returns and exchanges

What is your return policy?

You can return or exchange most products within 30 days of delivery, as long as they are in new condition. Returns are made by mail, the customer pays return shipping, and a 10% restocking fee is deducted from the refund.

Can I return 3M Thinsulate?

Yes, as long as it is uncut and unused. Thinsulate that has been cut or used cannot be returned, and master rolls are not returnable. Use the sizing table below or contact us before you order if you are not sure how much you need.

How do I start a return or exchange?

Email Support@keiproject.com with your order number before sending anything back, so we can confirm the details and, for exchanges, check availability. Include your order number in the package.

When will I get my refund?

Once we receive and inspect your return, approved refunds are processed within 7 business days to your original payment method.

3M Thinsulate SM600L insulation

Is your Thinsulate genuine 3M material?

Yes. Kei Project is the first 3M Preferred Converter for 3M Thinsulate Acoustic Insulation. Our SM600L comes through an approved 3M supply chain with lot traceability.

How much Thinsulate do I need for my van?

For walls and ceiling, we recommend the amounts below. Click your van to see the matching listing.

Our rolls are 5 ft wide, so a 5 ft x 50 ft piece is 50 linear feet.

What sizes do you sell?

SM600L comes 5 ft wide in lengths from 5 ft to 100 ft, as a pre-cut kit for the 2007 and newer Sprinter 144 High Roof, and as a full 5 ft x 300 ft master roll.

Why does my Thinsulate look thinner than I expected?

It ships compressed, so it is usually about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick off the roll. It expands on its own, and full loft can take several weeks. We recommend installing it while it is compressed and letting it expand in place.

What adhesive should I use, and how much?

We recommend 3M 90 Spray Adhesive, about one large can for every 20 linear feet of insulation.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Yes. We supply master rolls, wholesale pre-cuts, and 10 ft cuts for builders and upfitters. See our wholesale page.

Fitment and installation

Which vans do your parts fit?

Most of our parts are made for the Mercedes Sprinter. We also carry parts for the Ford Transit, plus universal items that work in most vans. Each product page lists the model years and wheelbase it fits, so check there before you order.

Can I install these parts myself?

Most of our products are designed for DIY installation. A few larger kits, such as the Sprinter 144 wall and ceiling brace kit, are best installed by a professional. Our Installation Guides page is the place to start.
